No Place For Hate Student Leaders
Spreckels believes that having a school community where all children feel safe and respected is an important foundation to their academic success. That is why the school community selects 4th and 5th grade students to participate as a No Place for Hate (NPFH) Student Leader. The students complete a training that was developed by the ADL (Anti-Defamation League) about bully prevention. NPFH is a student led group that is supervised by our School Counselor. They co-facilitate and create classroom lessons on celebrating diversity, promoting respect, accepting differences teaching empathy, and problem-solving skills. The leaders help plan and initiate schoolwide activities to improve school climate like Inspirational videos on ROAR TV, School Newspaper and the Great Kindness Challenge.
